[She places her hands on the back of his neck, one of her hands straying up into his hair slightly as she let him take control of the kiss. She smiles more into the kiss when she feels his tongue touch the ring in her mouth, her tongue brushing over his lightly before he pulls away again. At his words, she shrugs, not really caring if her tea got cold. Her eyes flickered down to his lips once more before she boldly connected them again, only to pull away moments after and drop her hands back to her side, stepping out of his embrace. Grabbing her tea mug, she stares down at her tea, the blush still on her face at the actions that just occurred.]
[He smirks at her sudden courage, running a hand through her hair and kissing her back softly. He shakes his head as she pulls away, turning to his own tea when she does, a smile plastered on his face.] Seems that you did care, just a bit. [He nudges her playfully, pulling the tea bag out of the cup and squeezing out the excess liquid. Looking at her questioningly, he points to the bag, silently asking where the trashcan was.]
I think I’ve got my rock star smoldering look down.
Is it working?
Oh, how precious.
[She keeps her gaze on the ground, her pale cheeks a light red from her own squeak. She wasn’t sure what it was that caused her voice to suddenly be found, but judging by Daniel’s reaction it wasn’t as bad as she thought it was. Feeling his finger lift her chin up, her eyes meet his and she stays frozen for a moment, his thumb soothing and fueling the blush on her cheek all at the same time. When his lips met hers once more, she couldn’t help but smile as she kissed him back, the nervous feeling settling in her stomach.]
[He wraps an arm around her waist once again to pull her closer. Deepening the kiss, he slips his tongue between her lips, a smirk tugging at his own as his tongue rolls over the cool metal in her mouth. He pulls away slightly, his thumb brushing over her cheek before his hand fell to her waist.] Your tea is getting cold. [He whispers, but makes no effort to move.]
Right. I’d tell you to stop, but honestly, that’d be a rather hard thing to do when it comes to me. Er, yeah, well. He doesn’t know me all that well yet. We just started talking basically and I haven’t even spoken to him since it happened. He’s probably avoiding me and I don’t blame him. You clearly don’t know Iris all that well then. I’m certain that if that were to happen then she’d spend the five minutes shouting at me, tell me to take a hike, and then three weeks later she might make an appearance in my life again.
Er, well, I kinda told her I loved her. I mean, she already knew that. She just thought — since everything with Darcy happened, that I’d be over that, only I wasn’t and I said I wasn’t. But, uh, yeah. And then that led to some big fight that kinda resolved itself, but then I oops’d again by asking her to skip town with me after I graduate to go on to college and basically move in with me. And her reaction wasn’t — I mean… Oops?
Does he actually avoid people? Probably just got caught up at the ol’ farm or something. Well, I don’t really talk to her that often so, probably not, but she knows I’m straight.
I’ll never understand what possesses you to want to be in a relationship, but I mean…she’s still there, right? That’s what matters. She just…she’s probably just scared, Austin. The future isn’t exactly something a lot of people are comfortable talking about. Give her time. That’s probably a hypocritical remark coming from me, but you…I don’t know. Just do it. Do you know where you want to go…for college I mean?

"In my good graces you’re a bad influence; keep me a heartbeat shy of an ambulance. Little mischievous, remain devious, keep me a heartbeat shy of an ambulance"
[She quickly shook her head, silently telling him not to apologize before he cut himself off, a smile forming on his lips causing one to reflect onto hers. She didn’t want him to regret the kiss, for she didn’t. It made her feel an odd sense of happy that she hadn’t in a while. The smile widened when he wrapped his arms around her again to place his lips on her forehead. She felt a rush of pride swell through her. Nodding slightly, she blushed, looking down at the ground when she pulled away but still smiling.]
[He didn’t know what to say. For once, he was completely speechless because of the girl standing before him. He didn’t know what it was. Perhaps he was proud that she actually found her voice if only for a split second. Or maybe he was concerned that she was trying really hard not to speak any other time. He places a finger under her chin, bringing her face up to look at him. His thumb brushes over her flushed cheek before he leans down, hesitating for only a second before he presses another kiss to her lips.]
Don’t think I have spirit, I just didn’t want to get dressed this morning and the hat was laying around. I think it’s Grant’s.
[She set her mug down on the counter, picking up the tea bag slightly before putting it back in the hot water to mix the ingredients together more. Hearing him sigh, she turns around only to feel his arm around he waist again and then his lips on her. Surprised, she stands there for a moment before kissing him back, wrapping her arms loosely around his neck as she did so.]
[Pulling away slightly, she looks him in the eyes, a shocked, nervous, smile on her face.] Oh..
[He pulls away from her, a hand running through his hair.] I’m sorry…I probably shouldn’t have— wait. [his eyes widen slightly at the realization she made a noise. No silent laugh, no mouthing words, an actual noise. It wasn’t much, not even a word, but it brought a smile to his lips nonetheless.] You— [he cuts himself off, pulling her into a hug and placing a kiss to her forehead.]
Then why do you get so pissed at me all the time? I’m mean to everyone, Danny boy. You’re nothing special in that respect, but I’m nice to you as well. At least you have that. That’s probably a question you should be asking yourself. Er, things. He did things. I was being nice and he basically freaked out to the point that he made me realize that even though people say I’m a good guy they never actually mean it. Then he made a dumb joke even though he knew I was angry. I knew you would have. Are you kidding me? Iris has eyes and ears everywhere. She may not go here anymore, but she might as well still be strolling the halls because she finds out about everything. You taking the blame won’t mean nothing after our last fight. She’s ready to bolt, ok?
It’s just what I do… Oh right he did mention he tried to make a joke or something. The idiot. You know me so well. Right. But I’m her friend too, though, so she shouldn’t mind as much? Or do I have that backwards? What happened exactly? I doubt she’d leave you, Austin.
